The book is a collection of the calls of 26 birds that have not lived in Germany since 1950. On leaving, they took their voices with them, which are now missing in the soundscape of Germany.  It is published with StrzeleckiBooks, Cologne.

The project 26 Vogelstimmen was iterated in different variations: First I conceived the book, which represents the complete collection of bird calls as a material corpus. It is an intimate medium that deals with the melancholic theme on a personal level.

The next iteration was posters on advertising pillars. 8 birdcalls were selected and hung in public space. The unusual letter combinations were carried back into the city.

The last version of this project was a bird call karaoke studio at a kiosk in Cologne. Here passers-bys and guests could interpret the lost bird voices and send their sounds back to the surroundings. It was the loudest, most active and most social version of the work.
